Mercedes-Benz models are designed from the ground up with a smooth and comfortable ride, sharp handling, and spirited performance in mind. The city streets, highways, and maybe the occasional jaunt off-road could be rife with potholes and other road conditions and hazards, threatening to alter the factory four-wheel alignment specifications. Here at your local Mercedes-Benz dealership, our service advisors recommend having your four-wheel alignment checked if the steering on your vehicle begins to behave unpredictably, or if road noise and decreased comfort for the driver and passengers are keeping you from thoroughly enjoying your Mercedes-Benz vehicle. The proper alignment of your wheels are determined by three angles: camber, toe, and caster. Most Mercedes-Benz models will not suffer the caster angle falling out of alignment, but the camber and toe can change over time from wear and tear. Each of these three angles needs to be within a fraction of a degree to be considered correct, leading to your vehicle pulling to one direction at highway speeds, the steering wheel shaking at certain speeds, and even the steering wheel resting off-center.
